Design and develop innovative electric power systems for Caterpillar products. Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify new technologies and advancements in the field of power systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integration of power systems into Caterpillar's products. Perform testing and validation of power systems to ensure they meet quality and performance standards. Identify and troubleshoot any technical issues related to power systems. Continuously improve and optimize existing power systems to increase efficiency and reliability. Stay updated on industry trends and developments to make recommendations for improvements and advancements in power systems. Adhere to all safety protocols and standards while designing and testing power systems. Provide technical support to other teams within the organization, including sales and marketing. Maintain accurate documentation of all designs, tests, and processes related to power systems. Train and mentor junior engineers in power systems design and development. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source necessary materials for power systems. Attend conferences and workshops to stay updated on the latest advancements in power systems. Actively participate in team meetings and contribute ideas and suggestions for continuous improvement.
