Job Description:

  • Drive sales revenue to exceed established quotas and qualify for the annual sales contest
  • Define and develop sustainable new business opportunities aligned with company goals
  • Execute clinical assessments, lead round-table results discussions, and support new product implementation programs
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key accounts and BD Clinical Managers
  • Conduct product demonstrations, customer education, in-services, utilization and contract-compliance reviews, and procedural observation
  • Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual plans to meet revenue targets
  • Maintain clinical knowledge in relevant disease states and excellence in territory management and selling skills
  • Deliver sales training to inside and field sales employees and channel partners as requested
  • Present sales modules, workshops, and training curricula at new-hire classes and sales meetings
  • Control territory expenses within budget and follow Bard guidelines and policies
  • Maintain communication with sales teams, customer service, sales management, and home-office staff
  • Maintain compliance with quality policies, patient-safety requirements, and documented procedures
  • Complete call reports, monthly results reports, and other administrative duties
  • Maintain accurate customer and account files
  • Attend and represent BD at local, regional, and national medical conferences
  • Perform special projects and additional assigned duties

Requirements:

  • BS/BS degree
  • Three or more years of sales experience with confirmed sales success
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, customer focus, professionalism, negotiating, mentoring, and team-building skills
  • Strong listening and personal assessment skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment
  • Information gathering, analysis, problem-solving, and independent thinking skills
  • Basic mathematical skills, including rates, ratios, percentages, and graphs
  • Proficiency with a personal computer, intermediate keyboarding, MS Excel, MS Word, and BD sales information systems
  • Ability to read, understand, analyze, and interpret business, professional, technical, and governmental materials
  • Ability to present information and respond to healthcare professionals, executives, managers, clients, and customers
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions
  • Ability to sit, bend, stoop, use a keyboard, see, talk, and hear
  • May occasionally lift 10 to 25 lbs.
  • Frequent travel within the territory required
