We are hiring immediately for a remote technical support representative, which we call a remote service agent, to join our team of technology experts who install, fix, solve, and enhance technology products via phone and chat for clients across Canada!Join us at Geek Squad (the technical service organization of Best Buy Canada). We are looking for people just like you, to provide technical support to our clients. As a remote service agent, you’ll enjoy the flexibility of working from home while supporting our 24/7/365 business. Here’s what you can expect: - Work 24+ hours per week over 4-5 shifts, - Shifts are up to 8.5 hours, with varying start and end times. - Flexibility is key, as business needs may fluctuate week to week. As a remote technical support representative, you will create an amazing customer experience by: - Identifying and recommending solutions based on customers’ needs - Facilitating product repair, troubleshooting, upgrades, installations, and other services using an online portal and remote desktop software - Tutoring clients on the proper use of their products - Completing training to continuously improve the client experience - Having fun while being the best! What we are looking for: - 1+ years of call center or help desk experience - Experience in troubleshooting and/or repairing devices - Completion of high school diploma or equivalent - Verbal and written proficiency in English - Ability to work 24+ hours per week over 4 to 5 shifts Your home office comes equipped with: - Computer with monitor, speakers, and anti-virus software (PC must be running Windows 11 or newer, Mac computers must be running MacOS 13 or newer) - Subscription to a high-speed, hard-wired internet connection - A USB or 3.5mm PC headset - A webcam for training and meetings - A door. Home offices are required to be private and quiet and not in your living room.
