Smartsheet is looking for our next Senior Front End Software Development Engineer to join the quickly growing Boston engineering team. Our business is built on finding top grade talent and getting out of their way while they build our award-winning Software as a Service (SaaS) offering for collaborative work and project management. You will report to a manager in our Boston, MA office.

You Will:

  • Participate in the entire development life cycle, from concept to release
  • Develop reusable components that can be used across our product (React, Redux, JavaScript, Jest, Storybook, Typescript, Node.js, HTML, and CSS)
  • Evaluate new technologies to bring into our stack
  • Consult with other teams across the organization on building UI components and frameworks
  • Create and promote a UI Framework standard
  • Work with design to implement a pixel perfect user interface
  • Become the Subject Matter Expert of our UI Architecture
  • Mentor junior UI Developers

You Have:

  • 5+ years web application development
  • 1+ years experience in SaaS application development
  • Experience building highly scalable, high availability UI applications
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with frequent production releases
  • Legally eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, a related field, equivalent industry experience, or equivalent educational experience

Nice to Have:

  • Experience transforming a monolithic UI into micro frontend architecture
  • Experience implementing responsive designs for mobile, tablet, and desktop browsers
  • Experience working across the full product stack
  • Familiarity with SaaS apps (Google Docs, Salesforce)
  • Experience developing service framework
