Job Description:
Develops, enhances, debugs, supports, maintains and tests software applications that support business units or supporting functions. These application program solutions may involve diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools. Participates in the design, development and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies. May provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives. Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource. Will not have direct reports but may lead projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives or operations. May have responsibility for a project and project budget. May collaborate with external programmers to coordinate delivery of software application. Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities. Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned consultants. Typically requires 5-7 years of experience.

The 3 areas of responsibility will be supporting email campaign configuration and support in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Messagepoint and Data Dictionary Management

  • Email Configuration support requires skills related to general Operations business processes, understanding business needs for email campaigns, Salesforce Marketing Cloud configuration, HTML, data files, email content configuration, production deployment, monitoring campaigns, general troubleshooting. Will need to be analytical with strong attention to detail and able to effectively collaborate with teams requesting email campaign configuration and technology support partners. Ability to manage a high volume of configuration requests with varying degrees of complexity and deployment timelines. The individual will be responsible for reviewing business requirements, configuring email campaigns in collaboration with business teams, configuring email content, HTML coding, testing, production deployment, monitoring and troubleshooting of campaigns. Collaborates with business users and technology partners to implement email campaigns.

  • Messagepoint Configuration support requires a specialized skillset in content design experience, specifically with Messagepoint or OpenText Exstream. Requires 5+ years’ hands-on experience with Content Management Systems. designing and developing correspondence documents (forms, statements, letters, disclosures, etc.) on multiple software platforms (Exstream, Messagepoint, etc.). Experience in independently leading the refinement of template requirements, managing the template development life cycle through production implementation. Experience in designing, developing & successful deployment of large-scale projects from end-to-end following the iterative and agile SDLC. Excellent organizational, analytical, verbal, and written skills. Able to communicate challenges and successes clearly and foster positive working relationships.

  • Data Dictionary Management - responsible for coordinating and maintaining the Data Dictionary that is used for the Universal Schema. Requests will be received for new variables or fields that must be added to the inbound and outbound data schemas. The schema is a critical interface to a variety of Systems of Record and if not properly managed it can cause impacts to operational processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with email campaign configuration in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

  • Experience configuring Salesforce campaigns, HTML, testing, collaborating with requestors and technical partners, and scheduling production deployments. During campaigns, ability to understand monitoring data and proactively handle troubleshooting.

  • Ability to manage high volume of configuration requests across multiple platforms with minimal supervision.

  • Analytical with the ability to understand business needs and configure email campaigns with a strong attention to detail and focus on the user experience.

  • Experience in independently leading the refinement of configuration requirements, managing the configuration life cycle to production implementation.

  • Act as a technical resource for translating business requirements and configuring content.

  • Hands on experience in designing, configuring, and successful deployment of complex solutions.

  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

  • Experience editing HTML in a text editor .

  • Experience coding tables in HTML and familiarity/comfort with nested table structures

  • Understanding of XML structures.

  • Some prior email development and/or web development experience.

  • Some prior experience with AMPscript or another programming language – JavaScript, PHP, Java, Swift etc. – must understand the logic to be able to interpret/write programmatic code.

  • Positive attitude/resilience toward stress.

  • Must be able to adhere to a very strict process/workflow.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in content design with Messagepoint or OpenText Exstream

  • Ability to work well independently and in large group settings, as well as handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
