<p>******** <strong>NO THIRDS</strong>******** <strong>PREFER TEXAS BASED CANDIDATES</strong></p><p><br></p><p>We are seeking an experienced <strong>Workday HRIS Specialist</strong> for a <strong>6–12-month contract</strong> with a respected organization in <strong>Downtown Houston</strong>.</p><p><br></p><p>This is a <strong>100% REMOTE position (Possible once a month office visits)</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>I do respectfully need candidates who are willing to do hourly W-2 as unfortunately, I cannot do Corp-Corp for this particular engagement.</strong></p><p><br></p><p>Consultants have access to medical benefits through Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare (contractor-paid) plus a 401(k) with company match.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Workday HRIS Specialist</strong></p><p><br></p><p>The Workday HRIS Specialist is responsible for maximizing and enhancing the organization's investment in Workday across Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, and Workforce Planning functions. This position acts as the functional expert for the Workday platform, supporting system configuration, implementation efforts, reporting, data governance, system integrity, and ongoing process improvements.</p><p>The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with Workday Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, Scheduling, Adaptive Planning, and Advanced Compensation. A strong understanding of the relationship between Workday HCM and Adaptive Planning is essential. This individual will have participated in Workday initiatives from requirements gathering and design through deployment and post-launch optimization, with the ability to convert business needs into effective system solutions.</p><p>This is a specialist-level individual contributor role requiring advanced Workday expertise, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with HR, Finance, Payroll, and business stakeholders.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Adaptive Planning & Workforce Planning</strong></p><ul><li>Lead the deployment, administration, and continuous enhancement of Workday Adaptive Planning.</li><li>Act as the primary point of coordination between HR and Finance for workforce planning, budgeting, headcount forecasting, labor cost analysis, and reporting.</li><li>Maintain accurate integration and data consistency between Workday and Adaptive Planning.</li><li>Support annual budgeting activities, workforce planning initiatives, and executive-level reporting.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Time Tracking, Scheduling & Payroll Integration</strong></p><ul><li>Configure and optimize Workday Time Tracking and Scheduling to support accurate time collection, labor distribution, schedule administration, and compliance requirements.</li><li>Serve as the functional expert for time, attendance, scheduling, and payroll processes across the Workday environment.</li><li>Design, test, troubleshoot, and maintain time calculations, pay rules, eligibility criteria, integrations, validations, and exception management processes.</li><li>Work closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, and Operations teams to resolve issues, improve controls, streamline workflows, and support complex scheduling and payroll needs.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>HRIS & Workday Optimization</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Provide subject matter expertise across Workday modules including Payroll, Benefits, Time Tracking, Scheduling, Advanced Compensation, and Adaptive Planning, while supporting additional Workday functionality as needed.</li><li>Configure and maintain business processes, security roles, eligibility rules, compensation structures, validation rules, and organizational configurations.</li><li>Identify opportunities to improve HR, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, and Workforce Planning processes through enhanced use of Workday.</li><li>Ensure data accuracy and system reliability through regular audits, testing, and validation activities.</li></ul><p><strong>Project & Implementation Support</strong></p><p><br></p><ul><li>Participate in Workday enhancement and implementation projects, including Annual Enrollment and Advanced Compensation initiatives, from requirements analysis through deployment.</li><li>Partner with business stakeholders to assess needs and recommend scalable Workday solutions.</li><li>Support Workday releases, new feature adoption, and continuous improvement efforts.</li><li>Create and maintain documentation, testing materials, user guides, and training resources.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Reporting & Analytics</strong></p><ul><li>Build and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, scorecards, calculated fields, and analytical tools.</li><li>Deliver meaningful insights related to workforce, payroll, benefits, compensation, and planning activities.</li><li>Support recurring and ad hoc reporting requirements while ensuring data quality and consistency.</li></ul><p><br></p>
