Job Summary

NorthStar American School, established in Texas, U.S.A, is a Cognia Accredited Online School serving students from K to 12 grades. We are 100% online and students are mostly from Vietnam. Teachers will be teaching remotely from their homes.

We are recruiting American teachers for these following positions:

- Math teacher for junior high and high school

- Science teacher for junior high and high school

- Social Study teacher for primary, junior high and high school

Expected starting date: Beginning of October 2026

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting student engagement. This role involves designing and implementing lesson plans, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues to enhance the educational experience. A university degree and a state teacher license are required.

Duties

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
  • Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Assess and evaluate student performance through various methods, including tests, projects, and observations.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance and behavior.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to share best practices and improve teaching strategies.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational trends.

Requirements

  • A university degree in Education or a related field is required.
  • A U.S.A state teacher license is required.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that meets the diverse needs of students.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for teaching are essential qualities for success in this role.
  • Previous teaching experience is a plus but not mandatory; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Familiarity with classroom technology and educational software is advantageous.
