EdTech Account Executive

Location: Remote (Must reside in the Midwest- MI, IL, IN, OH, WI)

Base Salary: $80,000-$85,000 + Commission

Travel: Approximately 20%-40%

We're seeking a motivated Account Executive who thrives on building relationships, developing new business opportunities, and helping organizations achieve better learner outcomes through innovative educational technology solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop and close new business opportunities throughout the Midwest territory.
  • Prospect and build relationships with community colleges, adult education programs, workforce agencies, and correctional education organizations.
  • Manage complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Respond to RFPs and create compelling solution proposals.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and forecast using CRM tools.
  • Represent Aztec at industry conferences, events, and customer meetings.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to drive growth.
  • Transition newly acquired customers to account management teams for long-term success.

  • Be a great people person with a proven track record on growing accounts and building trust-based value add relationships
  • The confidence to navigate complex organizations with multiple stakeholders
  • You’ll be smart, curious and convincing – we have an incredible set of solutions and want you to help us grow along our mission
  • Strong Manager presence, with the ability to speak with everyone across an organization from C-Level Managers to teachers and everyone in between
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Five or more years of successful B2B, SaaS, EdTech outside sales experience
  • Demonstrated success in developing innovative business building programs, making presentation/recommendations, and gaining alignment
  • Experience selling training solutions and services preferred
  • Experience in community college, correctional, or workforce solutions areas preferred; SaaS and Educational Technology sales a plus.
  • Experience working with CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including Manager and C-level

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Aztec Account Executives receive a highly competitive base salary, commissions, and excellent benefits package, including a very competitive retirement plan.
