The Federal Solution Engineer at Zoom serves as a trusted technical advisor for Federal clients. You will translate complex technical requirements into actionable product recommendations, test customer environments, and champion feature requests that shape Zoom's roadmap from the field.

Deep telephony expertise and a passion for AI are your superpowers here. You will partner with customers and Account Executives to design creative, outcome-driven workflows that make a real impact. Hands-on experience with the Zoom platform or a competitive equivalent is essential.

About the Team

Zoom's Federal Solutions Engineering team bridges government communication and advanced cloud technology, supporting Federal Civilian and DoD agencies nationwide. The team helps modernize collaboration via Zoom's FedRAMP-authorized platform.

Responsibilities

  • Providing product presentations and demonstrations, creating deployment designs and plans, implementing proofs of concept, and preparing responses to RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
  • Maintaining advanced proficiency across video, phone, customer experience, artificial intelligence, APIs/SDKs, networking, PBX, desktop, and mobile technologies consistently.
  • Serving as the trusted technical advisor, acting as the lead advocate for Federal clients during every stage of the sales cycle.
  • Supporting Account Executives by proposing and designing solutions that address significant collaboration challenges faced by customers.
  • Translating technical needs into product development suggestions while driving customer feature requests internally within Zoom.

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience as a Solution Engineer in pre-sales, with a strong command of product-related areas and the ability to clearly represent technical solutions, including Unified Communications, video, web conferencing, and voice.
  • Knowledge of Software as a Service (SaaS) is an advantage.
  • 7+ years of experience supporting technical sales in Federal Civilian Government or DoD environments is preferred (e.g., DHS, SEC, IRS, VA, DISA, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army).
  • Working knowledge of federal systems and networks, including FedRAMP, IL5, NIPRNet, and SIPRNet.
  • Working knowledge of SAML/SSO, firewalls, routers, PBX, TDM, MPLS networks, reverse proxies, MCP, and related technologies.
  • Strong competitive knowledge of the industry and related protocols, including AI, SIP, H.323, Microsoft Teams, firewall traversal, VoIP, CDNs, and more.
  • Federal clearance preferred, but not required.
  • Cybersecurity certifications a plus, including: CISSP, OSCP, CISM, CEH, and GSEC.

Salary Range or On Target Earnings:

Minimum:

$146,000.00

Maximum:

$319,400.00

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.
