We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Customer Service and Data Entry Specialist to support our two e-commerce businesses: Brace Direct, an orthopedic bracing and medical device company, and RevUp Sports, an athletic shoes and apparel company.

This role is primarily focused on customer support, order processing, product guidance, and accurate data entry during evening hours. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working from a computer for the full shift, juggling multiple programs at once, learning new systems quickly, and using AI tools to improve speed, accuracy, and customer communication.

This is not a basic call-center role. We need someone who can think through customer issues, search for answers, follow procedures, use technology well, and provide knowledgeable support for orthopedic bracing products.

Schedule

Sunday/Monday – 2:00 p.m. – 11 p.m. EST

Tue-Thurs, 2:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. EST

Occasional Saturdays may be required.

Compensation & Benefits

$13–$14 per hour, plus tip share

Estimated total: $14–$16 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle incoming calls and return missed calls promptly and professionally.
  • Respond to customer messages across phone, email, live chat, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Provide knowledgeable support for orthopedic products, including brace fitting guidance, product recommendations, sizing help, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Process and manage digital orders with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Use multiple web-based systems throughout the shift, including order management platforms, customer service tools, spreadsheets, shipping tools, and internal resources.
  • Use AI tools appropriately to help research products, draft responses, summarize issues, and improve customer communication.
  • Perform ongoing data entry tasks during call downtimes while maintaining accuracy and organization.
  • Document customer issues clearly and communicate with team members and management regarding problems, solutions, and follow-up needs.
  • Learn new products, systems, and procedures quickly as the business continues to grow.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in orthopedic bracing, DME, O&P, chiropractic, physical therapy, orthopedic offices, or medical equipment is strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on knowledge of brace types, brands, sizing, and fitting techniques is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with medical billing/coding, L-codes, or insurance processes is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills are required. Must be able to work in multiple programs at the same time without getting overwhelmed.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word, Google Sheets, web-based software, e-commerce platforms, and AI tools.
  • Fast learner who can follow written procedures, search for answers, and adapt to new systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent data entry accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently from home.
  • Must have a quiet, distraction-free workspace and be available at the computer for the full shift.

Ideal Candidate

The best fit for this role is someone who is friendly with customers, strong with computers, quick to learn, and comfortable handling detailed product questions. We are especially interested in candidates who already understand orthopedic bracing or medical equipment and can combine that knowledge with strong technology skills.
