Core Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be the face of the store, ensuring every customer leaves with a smile. Your daily duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Greeting customers warmly and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Operating the cash register efficiently, handling cash, credit, and digital payments with accuracy.
  • Providing product recommendations and upselling items that meet customer needs.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized store layout—including shelves, aisles, and the front-of‑store area.
  • Assisting with the food program: preparing grab‑and‑go items, restocking fresh foods, and ensuring food safety standards are met.
  • Conducting regular inventory checks and restocking merchandise to keep shelves fully stocked.
  • Responding promptly to customer inquiries, resolving concerns, and escalating issues when necessary.
  • Participating in team huddles and briefings to stay aligned with daily goals and promotions.
  • Adhering to all safety, health, and security protocols, including proper handling of hazardous materials and emergency procedures.
  • Providing reliable, predictable onsite attendance and punctuality for scheduled evening shifts.

Essential Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should meet the following baseline requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted).
  • Previous retail or customer‑service experience, preferably in a fast‑food or convenience‑store setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate a point‑of‑sale (POS) system and handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain on your feet for up to eight (8) hours per shift.
  • Physical capability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly, with occasional lifts of up to 60 pounds.
  • Motivation to grow within arenaflex and pursue advancement opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Assets

  • Experience in food preparation or a related service‑industry role.
  • Proven sales record or experience in upselling techniques.
  • Certification in food safety (e.g., ServSafe) or willingness to obtain one.
  • Bilingual abilities, especially Spanish, to better serve a diverse customer base.
  • Previous experience with inventory management software or merchandising tools.
