Basic Function

HF Sinclair is seeking a Leave Administrator Analyst in Dallas, TX who will beresponsible for managing and coordinating various employee leave programs, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

Job Duties
  • Primary contact for employees requesting FMLA leave:Providing guidance and explaining the process to ensure understanding of their rights and responsibilities.
  • Administer Leave Programs:Manage employee leave programs such as FMLA, personal leave, military leave, jury duty, bereavement leave, and disability leave
  • Manage STD Program:Ensure STD usage is consistent with the company policies and partners with Benefits on LTD claims
  • Review Leave Requests:Receive and review leave requests and supporting documentation, send required notifications, forms, and letters, and determine leave eligibility
  • Approve and/or deny leave casesbased on relevant medical information. Coordinates and organizes all medical information, ensuring that HIPAA and Employee Privacy guidelines are closely monitored and effectively implemented.
  • Track Leave Status:Maintain and track the receipt and status of leave requests, including continuous, intermittent, paid, and unpaid leave time
  • Communication:Serves as the primary point of contact for leave requests, advising, Human Resources, the department managers, and employees on appropriate leave processes and policies
  • Compliance:Ensure compliance with applicable city, state, and federal policies and regulations, and keep abreast of changes to laws such as FMLA, ADA, and VESSA
  • Engage in Workplace Accommodation Requests: Participate in the interactive process with employees and leaders to makea time accommodation decision. Assists in answering and resolving any follow-up questions or issues and helps identify clarifications, when needed, from healthcare providers.
  • Training:Provide ongoing training and education to managers and employees on FMLA leave policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Investigate Fraud:Review and investigate allegations of fraudulent leave requests and activities
  • Audits:Conduct audits of LOA to ensure compliance with information in the HRIS system
  • Reporting:Prepare comprehensive reports detailing audit and investigative findings
Experience

A minimum of three (3) years of job-related experience is required.

Education Level

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Relations, Business, or a related field, or four years of additional related work experience, is required.

Preferred Education

A Bachelor’s Degree in HR or Business is preferred.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility

Provides mentoring guidance to less experienced HR staff and managers
