Job Summary As an Assistant General Manager at U-Haul, you will be responsible for: • Running Daily Operations: Oversee the daily operations of our center, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. • Managing Teams: Lead and manage a team of employees to provide exceptional customer service and ensure that all customers receive a positive experience. • Making Decisions: Make moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate initiatives. • Miscellaneous Duties: Perform miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, and other equipment. • Ongoing Training: Participate in ongoing training and development through U-Haul University. Key Responsibilities As an Assistant General Manager, your key responsibilities will include: • Managing and assigning team members to ensure that customers receive an excellent first impression and the highest quality of care. • Running daily operations of the center in the general manager's absence. • Making moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate initiatives. • Performing miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, and other equipment. • Participating in ongoing training and development through U-Haul University. Requirements and Qualifications To be successful as an Assistant General Manager at U-Haul, you will need: • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. • Experience: Management experience in any form, customer service experience. • Driver's License: Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a clean driving record. • Physical Requirements: Ability to work a variety of shifts, including physical exertion, such as lifting, standing, and walking.
