No experience or degree is needed. Safety comes first—always. We train you. We support you. We help you build a career.<br><br>Your daily work includes:<br><br><ul><li>Setting up cones, signs, and barricades and taking traffic control equipment down </li><li>Using a stop/slow paddle to guide traffic, watching traffic and job site activity </li><li>Following all safety rules taught in training </li><li>Communicating with your crew and supervisor </li><li>Helping keep vehicles and equipment clean and safe </li><li>Working outside all year, in all weather </li><li>Shifts may change based on job needs: Some nights, weekends, or emergency work may be required </li><li>You may stand or walk 8 to 12 hours per shift </li><li>We give you a hard hat, safety goggles, a safety vest, safety whistle, walkie talkie, and cold/hot weather gear: you bring your own steel toe safety boots that go above the ankle. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Valid driver’s license </li><li>Able to stand, walk, and work outside for long periods </li><li>Able to lift 40–50 pounds </li><li>Willing to work in traffic and changing weather </li><li>Flexible schedule; Show up on time, every shift </li><li>Must pass pre-hire screening, including a drug test (this is a safety sensitive job) </li><li>Stay alert around moving traffic and follow all safety rules all the time </li><li>Treat coworkers, clients, and the public with respect <br><br></li></ul><strong>Additional Information<br><br></strong><strong>Pay: <br><br></strong><ul><li>Pay: $16.00–$16.75 per hour </li><li>Overtime available </li><li>Pay increases in your first year </li><li>Paid training and a traffic safety certificate <br><br></li></ul><strong>Benefits for eligible employees include:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Paid Time Off and paid holidays </li><li>Paid sick time (where required) </li><li>On demand pay availability </li><li>Health insurance </li><li>401(k) option </li><li>Employee Assistance Program </li><li>Referral bonuses<br><br></li></ul><strong>Promotion Opportunities:<br><br></strong><ul><li>Senior Protector </li><li>Lead Protector </li><li>Field Supervisor </li><li>Manager roles <br><br></li></ul><em>AWP Safety is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
