To learn how to apply for a faculty or staff position, please review this <a target="_blank" href="">tip sheet</a>.</p><p></p><p>The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Pediatrics has an exciting opportunity for a full time Therapist to work in Miami, FL.</p><p><br />The Therapist will function as a Mental Health Consultant that will be providing consultation services to early learning programs, classrooms, and children using the IECMHC model.<br /><br />Core responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Interviews, evaluates, and assesses the needs of patients, and develops treatment plans.</li><li>Works in conjunction with multidisciplinary service teams to ensure implementation of coordinated psychosocial serves as it relates to program participants’ needs.</li><li>Prepares progress notes, reports and correspondence.</li><li>Maintains case records confidential.</li><li>Conducts ongoing individual, groups, and family counseling sessions with patients.</li><li>Completes psychosocial evaluations, assesses psychological disorders, prepares comprehensive clinical summaries, and makes treatment recommendations.</li><li>Interprets psychological or psychiatric case information from patients interviewed and from medical or psychiatric sources.</li><li>Assists with the recordation of data and statistics.</li><li>Serves as program liaison to collaborating service providers, the courts, and treatment centers.</li><li>Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.</li></ul><p></p><p>Department Specific Functions:</p><p></p><p>Main Jump Start Job Functions:</p><ul><li>Enroll participants and maintain a caseload of 16 participants (e.g., 4 directors, 8 teachers, and 4</li><li>children).</li><li>Perform clinical assessments and collect necessary data to determine program eligibility.</li><li>Provide weekly consultations to participants based on action plan detailing areas of need.</li><li>Continuously link participants to community resources for any additional supports or services.</li><li>Attend individual and group supervision as needed.</li><li>Attend trainings for continued professional development as needed.</li></ul><p></p><p>Additional Jump Start PLUS Job Functions:</p><ul><li>Lead recruitment of intervention and control sites.</li><li>Lead collection of pre and post data of assigned programs.</li><li>Lead the implementation of all Jump Start PLUS interventions in assigned programs.</li><li>Lead the coordination of all additional intervention activities in assigned programs.</li><li>Support the design and implementation of KUBI Telepresence Robots.</li><li>Support the onboarding and training of program consultants.</li><li>Support program leadership during program implementation as needed.</li></ul><p></p><p>Additional HC2 Job Functions:</p><ul><li>Support recruiting efforts of control sites.</li><li>Support the collection of pre and post data at each timepoint.</li><li>Support the coordination of program activities (e.g., parent workshops) in control sites.</li><li>Support program leadership during program implementation as needed.</li></ul><p><br /><b>This list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties or responsibilities as necessary.</b><br /><br /><b>Core Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required.
