This role owns the PR&O product vision, global roadmap, investment priorities, delivery outcomes, platform operations, adoption, and value realization across the product lifecycle.

The leader will partner with global and regional business owners, Professional Relations teams, compliance, privacy, legal, finance, product management, architecture, engineering, data, and suppliers to create a coherent global platform for professional-relations processes and connected operations. The role will balance enterprise standardization with justified market variation and ensure that PR&O capabilities integrate effectively with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and adjacent CxM, data, finance, contracting, and enterprise services.

The Senior Manager is accountable for business outcomes, roadmap, priorities, funding, operating model, adoption, and delivery commitments for PR&O.

Key Accountabilities

1. PR&O product strategy and global roadmap

  • Define and communicate the global PR&O product vision, strategy, roadmap, and measurable outcomes in alignment with the broader MedTech CxM strategy.
  • Own prioritization across professional-relations workflows, operations, data, controls, integrations, reporting, automation, and user experience.
  • Convert business strategy, policy requirements, operational needs, and user insights into clear product capabilities, release objectives, and an actionable backlog.
  • Make explicit global-versus-local decisions, favoring common capabilities and configuration while requiring evidence for market-specific variation.
  • Maintain a sequenced roadmap across near-term delivery, platform stabilization, capability expansion, technical health, compliance needs, and innovation.

2. Business outcomes and value realization

  • Define outcome measures and baselines for PR&O, including process cycle time, data quality, control effectiveness, user adoption, reliability, reuse, and reduction of manual work.
  • Create transparent value cases for major investments and track whether delivered capabilities produce expected operational, user, risk, and financial outcomes.
  • Partner with business process owners to simplify and standardize processes before automating them and avoid reproducing unnecessary legacy complexity.
  • Use product analytics, operational insights, user feedback, control results, and financial performance to adjust priorities and improve the platform.

3. Product delivery and cross-functional leadership

  • Lead end-to-end PR&O product delivery across discovery, planning, backlog management, release readiness, adoption, stabilization, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with engineering and architecture leaders to translate product priorities into executable plans while balancing value, feasibility, risk, cost, quality, and timing.
  • Manage cross-team dependencies spanning commercial platforms, compliance, privacy, legal, finance, contracting, data, integrations, security, and adjacent CxM capabilities.
  • Establish clear decision rights, governance, cadences, escalation paths, and acceptance criteria across product teams, delivery partners, and business stakeholders.
  • Remove blockers and make timely scope, sequence, risk, and investment decisions.

4. Risk, compliance, data and responsible AI

  • Ensure required compliance, privacy, cyber security, records management, validation, auditability, change control, and risk-management requirements are built into the product lifecycle.
  • Partner with accountable business and control functions to translate policies into clear platform requirements, controls, evidence, and operating procedures.
  • Establish data ownership, quality expectations, access controls, retention requirements, and appropriate use of professional-relations data across connected processes.
  • Identify responsible uses of AI and automation that improve productivity and decision quality while preserving human accountability, transparency, security, privacy, and policy compliance.
  • Ensure compliance and risk requirements are addressed pragmatically and early, without allowing unclear future dependencies to derail immediate business outcomes.

5. Financial, supplier and portfolio management

  • Own the PR&O platform budget, resource plan, investment roadmap, forecasts, and financial trade-offs.
  • Manage strategic suppliers and systems integrators against defined outcomes, quality expectations, technical standards, delivery commitments, and commercial terms.
  • Partner with portfolio leadership to align funding, capacity, dependencies, and milestones with the broader CxM portfolio.
  • Provide clear reporting on progress, value, cost, risks, decisions, and corrective actions to business, product, technology, and executive stakeholders.

6. Platform operations and people leadership

  • Own the product operating model for release, change, incident, problem, service, and lifecycle management in partnership with engineering and support teams.
  • Establish service levels, operational metrics, support responsibilities, escalation paths, business continuity expectations, and continuous-improvement priorities.
  • Provide leadership during major incidents and ensure root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive improvements are completed.
  • Lead and develop employees, contractors, and delivery partners through clear objectives, coaching, feedback, performance management, and career development.
  • Create an inclusive, accountable culture focused on outcomes, transparency, constructive challenge, learning, and shared ownership.

Measures of Success

  • A shared global PR&O vision and sequenced roadmap are approved, funded, and understood across business and technology teams.
  • Professional-relations processes become simpler, more consistent, more measurable, and easier for users to execute correctly.
  • Common capabilities, data, controls, and integrations replace duplicated regional solutions and unnecessary customization.
  • Releases meet defined business outcomes, control requirements, quality standards, operational-readiness criteria, and adoption targets.
  • Budget, supplier performance, platform health, delivery risk, compliance readiness, and value realization are transparent and actively managed.
  • Product, engineering, architecture, business, and control teams operate with clear decision rights and fewer unresolved dependencies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information technology, computer science, business, engineering, or a related field.
  • 10 or more years of progressively responsible experience in product management, platform management, commercial technology, enterprise applications, or technology delivery.
  • Demonstrated product leadership for a global professional-relations, customer-engagement, CRM, regulated workflow, compliance-sensitive, or comparable enterprise platform.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise workflow, data, controls, integrations, reporting, automation, and user-experience capabilities in complex commercial environments.
  • Experience defining product strategy, outcome-based roadmaps, investment priorities, backlogs, release plans, adoption approaches, and value measures.
  • Experience delivering complex global products across multiple functions, regions, teams, and technology platforms in a regulated or highly controlled environment.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365, Azure, integration and API patterns, data platforms, Microsoft 365, Copilot, and Copilot Studio sufficient to lead product decisions and partner credibly with engineering.
  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar budgets, resource plans, forecasts, suppliers, systems integrators, and delivery commitments.
  • Demonstrated people leadership, including goal setting, coaching, performance management, talent development, and leadership of employees and contractors.
  • Experience with agile product delivery, backlog management, release planning, risk management, change control, service operations, and incident leadership.
  • Strong executive communication, facilitation, negotiation, collaboration, and influencing skills across global business, control, and technology organizations.
  • Demonstrated AI fluency and the ability to apply and evaluate AI responsibly while maintaining human accountability and complying with governance, privacy, security, and policy requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in MedTech, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or another regulated industry.
  • Experience with professional-relations operations, healthcare professional or organization engagement processes, regulated interactions, or comparable compliance-sensitive commercial workflows.
  • Experience applying global template governance while enabling controlled regional or business-unit variation.
  • Experience integrating Microsoft Dynamics or comparable platforms with customer, professional, product, contracting, finance, payment, document, analytics, and identity services.
  • Experience leading organizational change, process simplification, product adoption, data-quality improvement, and retirement of legacy platforms.

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?
