<p><strong>GitHub Specialist</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position:</strong> <strong>GitHub Specialist</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Type:</strong> <strong>Contractor</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Compensation:</strong> <strong>$90–$175/hour</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Location:</strong> <strong>Remote</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>About the Opportunity</strong></p><p>micro1 is engaging experienced <strong>GitHub Specialists</strong> to support a customer project focused on completing and documenting realistic software development and version-control workflows within GitHub.</p><p>Selected contributors will use their hands-on experience with <strong>Git, GitHub, version control, repository management, collaboration, and CI/CD workflows</strong> to complete practical technical tasks and generate high-quality interaction data that supports the development and evaluation of next-generation AI systems.</p><p>The role focuses on practical GitHub expertise and real-world software development workflows. Contributors will complete assigned tasks, document their processes, develop evaluation materials, and provide accurate feedback based on actual GitHub functionality.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Complete assigned workflows and tasks within <strong>GitHub</strong> using practical software development and version-control experience.</li><li>Navigate GitHub features related to <strong>repositories, branches, commits, pull requests, issues, and collaboration</strong>.</li><li>Create, edit, review, and manage repositories according to provided workflow instructions.</li><li>Use Git and GitHub to perform common version-control operations, including:</li><li>Branching</li><li>Merging</li><li>Commits</li><li>Pull requests</li><li>Repository management</li><li>Work with GitHub collaboration and development workflows in realistic technical scenarios.</li><li>Record your screen while completing assigned workflows and clearly demonstrate the steps taken.</li><li>Create realistic prompts and detailed <strong>evaluation rubrics</strong> based on completed workflows.</li><li>Document workflow steps and clearly explain the GitHub tools, features, commands, and actions used.</li><li>Review task outputs for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project guidelines.</li><li>Follow established project instructions and quality standards while working independently.</li><li>Provide clear technical documentation that can support AI training and evaluation.</li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Strong hands-on experience using <strong>GitHub</strong> in professional, project-based, or open-source environments.</li><li>Strong understanding of <strong>Git and version control</strong> concepts and workflows.</li><li>Practical experience with repositories, branches, commits, pull requests, issues, and collaborative development.</li><li>Familiarity with <strong>GitHub Actions and CI/CD workflows</strong>.</li><li>Ability to independently navigate GitHub and complete realistic technical workflows.</li><li>Current access to <strong>GitHub</strong> and ability to use the platform independently.</li><li>Comfortable recording and sharing your screen while completing assigned workflows.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed technical instructions.</li><li>Ability to clearly document and explain technical workflows.</li><li>Strong written communication skills and ability to provide structured technical feedback.</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Professional experience using GitHub for software
