About the Role
GC Hall LLC is seeking a dependable, hardworking individual for a combined General Laborer and Sit-Down Forklift Operator position in Houston. To ensure long-term success and thorough familiarity with our inventory, we structure this role with an initial progression: all operators begin in a hands-on general labor capacity to master our foundational processes before advancing to regular forklift responsibilities on the active shipping and receiving docks.

Job Progression & Detailed Duties

  • Stripping industrial totes and thoroughly cleaning totes containing finished products.
  • Applying accurate tracking and product labels to prepared containers.
  • Safely operating a sit-down forklift within the production and warehouse floor.
  • Moving and meticulously stacking chemical totes up to 3 tiers high.
  • Working directly on the shipping and receiving dock to load and unload chemical totes in and out of shipping containers and transport trucks.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Preference for candidates with a minimum of 1+ recent years of verified experience operating a sit-down forklift.
  • Work Readiness: Must be comfortable performing physical labor and wearing work clothes that can get dirty, as handling chemical totes is a core part of the daily routine.

PPE & Workplace Dress Code

  • Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Safety glasses, yellow high-visibility vest, and proper work boots (steel toes are not strictly required, but sturdy work boots are mandatory).
  • Dress Code: Practical warehouse and production attire (such as jeans, long pants, and t-shirts). Expect exposure to chemical totes, meaning clothes are likely to get dirty during shifts.
