<p><strong>Summary:</strong></p><br><p>Operating an electric forklift to gather, move, deliver and store materials as needed.</p><br><p><br> <br><br></p><br><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><br><p>· Load and unload trailers, containers and the box truck</p><br><p>· Ensure products are properly packaged, banded and wrapped for shipment</p><br><p>· Select, stage and prepare items for shipment</p><br><p>· Ensure accuracy of selected products, both in quantity and product code to Bill of Lading</p><br><p>· Frequently lifting boxes weighing between 10 -30 pounds; occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds</p><br><p>· Assist with pulling Grainger orders as required</p><br><p>· Maintain cleanliness of warehouse.</p><br><p>· Adhere to all company and department safety requirements</p><br><p><br> <br><br></p><br><p><strong>Education and/or Experience:</strong></p><br><p>Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent required. 3-6 months of experience as a Material Handler preferred.</p><br><p><br> <br><br></p><br><p><strong>Qualification Requirements:</strong></p><br><p>Must have a current forklift license or be able to obtain one. Must understand Inventory Process and Procedures.</p><br><p><br> <br><br></p><br><p><strong>Language Skills:</strong></p><br><p>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, BOL/BOM, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Speak audibly, and present information in one-on-one and small group situations.</p><br><p><br> <br><br></p><br><p><strong>Mathematical Skills:</strong></p><br><p>Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.</p><br><p><br> <br><br></p><br><p><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></p><br><p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The majority of the time is spent standing, walking, sitting, using hands to finger, handling or feeling, talking, hearing, pushing and pulling carts weighing up to 200 pounds, frequently lifting boxes weighing 10 -30 pounds, occasionally lifting boxes up to 50 pounds.</p><br><p><strong>Work Environment:</strong></p><br><p>The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Working conditions include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and working near moving mechanical parts/ machinery and forklifts. The noise level is low to moderate.</p>
