Key Responsibilities

• Aid in the maintenance of general ledgers and the month-end close cycle associated with corporate accounting, including the preparation and review of journal entries for intercompany disposals, intercompany allocations, and related party transactions.
• Prepare and review reconciliations for key accounts on a monthly or quarterly basis and perform change analyses to ensure accuracy and identify trends.
• Monitor intercompany accounts, address any out-of-balance issues, and collaborate with intercompany payment teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Track related party transactions throughout the financial year and perform valuation analyses to determine whether these transactions are at arm's length.
• Collaborate with the Treasury, Legal, and other groups within Controllership to obtain necessary supporting documentation and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Work directly with the Supervisor, Financial Accounting - Corporate on ad-hoc projects and initiatives that drive financial excellence.
• Assist in the preparation of Hulu's financial statements through the preparation of financial schedules and references.
• Research technical accounting questions and prepare accounting notices to document changes in accounting treatment, ensuring that the team remains up-to-date with the latest accounting standards.
• Help manage internal and external audits by coordinating requests and preparing status reports, ensuring a smooth audit process.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Advanced working knowledge of reputed company Office suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Exceptional organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail and a high sense of urgency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with all levels of the organization.
• A team-oriented perspective with a positive attitude, able to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals.
