About the Role

As a Senior Direct Marketing Strategist, you will onboard and support clients using our Direct Marketing Services (DMS) while also serving as a strategic expert in lifecycle marketing, email marketing, and direct response. Your responsibilities span onboarding, post-launch client support, proactive engagement, and fostering client satisfaction through clear processes and collaborative efforts.

In this role, you will elevate the sophistication of campaign planning and testing methodologies, guide performance analysis, and introduce best practices and optimization frameworks to enhance a team already strong in execution and client service. Through exceptional communication, expert guidance, and advanced marketing strategy, you will ensure clients maximize their ROI and that team metrics remain strong and consistent.

What Your Success Will Look Like
  • Lead the strategy, development, and optimization of multi-channel campaigns (email, SMS, direct mail) -including segmentation, A/B testing roadmap, and performance best practices for clients.
  • Partner with internal creative, technical and client teams to guide messaging, targeting, and design overall campaign structures, ensuring email, SMS, and direct mail campaigns align with client objectives.
  • Define and maintain campaign standards-including deliverability, compliance, and design guidelines.
  • Track and analyze campaign performance metrics (open rates, unsubscribes, etc) and provide timely reporting and insights to leadership.
  • Identify opportunities by using internal data, external research, and competitor benchmarking to enhance campaign effectiveness and the client experience, and provide insights and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Review and refine campaign content through editing, proofreading, and occasional copywriting to ensure accuracy and message alignment.
  • Provide coordinated direction to offshore partners and serve as a knowledgeable resource for junior team members (without formal leadership responsibilities) to contribute to overall team skill building and operational excellence.
  • Serve as the go-to expert for complex lifecycle marketing challenges, troubleshooting issues with segmentation, deliverability, workflows, and advanced campaign logic.
  • Build and maintain audiences in ServiceTitan and develop expertise in ServiceTitan Marketing Pro to support advanced campaign needs.
Who You Are And What You Bring
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field - or equivalent experience.
  • Experience
    • 4+ years of experience in direct or lifecycle marketing, with proven ability to build and maintain multi-channel campaigns (email, SMS, reputation, direct mail) and contribute to strategy, messaging, testing, and optimization.
  • Skills
    • Strong proficiency with marketing automation tools, including ServiceTitan Marketing Pro or similar platforms, with the adaptability to learn new features and guide clients through evolving best practices.
    • Analytical, data-driven approach with experience using performance metrics to identify trends, diagnose issues, and recommend improvements.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including strong writing and editing capabilities in direct response and client-facing contexts.
    • Client-centric mindset with proactive engagement, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to tailor solutions to meet client needs.
    • Ability to operate independently, make informed recommendations, and serve as a knowledgeable resource for teammates (without formal leadership duties).

  • Genuine Care: We only succeed when we are truly invested in our clients and each other.
  • Unmatched Results: We deliver more than expected-and then some-driving the best results and impacting lives.
  • Constant Improvement: We believe there is always a better way. We learn we ask "What if?" we build and then do it again.
  • Unbeatable Teamwork: We come from different backgrounds but have the same vision. We only get there by doing it together, as a team.
Compensation

We acknowledge that states have passed legislation promoting pay transparency. As a national employer, Scorpion has made the decision to post our expected pay rate or pay range (as applicable) in all our job postings, regardless of geographic location.

  • The base salary range is $75,000 (entry-level) - $85,000 (highly experienced), exclusive of fringe benefits. If you are hired at Scorpion, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the total salary range for the role.
