Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for collaborating effectively in a fully remote environment.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Review, analyze, and enhance book manuscripts with a focus on clarity, narrative structure, voice, and market alignment.</li><li>Provide detailed editorial feedback and perform advanced line editing, copyediting, and content restructuring.</li><li>Identify inconsistencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement in plot, character development, and thematic continuity.</li><li>Contribute to the development of editorial guidelines and best practices for AI model development.</li><li>Draft, revise, and polish editorial commentary that is constructive, actionable, and aligned with industry standards.</li><li>Collaborate with project stakeholders through written and verbal communication to explain edits and recommendations.</li><li>Support quality control by reviewing and refining AI-generated editorial work for accuracy, consistency, and style.<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Extensive experience editing published books for recognized publishing houses or prominent authors.</li><li>Editorial leadership on notable or award-winning publications is a significant plus.</li><li>Exceptional command of English grammar, language, and literary style.</li><li>Proven ability to provide nuanced editorial feedback across multiple genres and formats.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.</li><li>Comfortable working in a remote, technology-enabled environment.</li><li>Ability to adapt to evolving project requirements and editorial guidelines.</li><li>US-based contributors are preferred, though highly qualified professionals from other locations may be considered.<br></li></ul>
