Are you a recent graduate looking to break into technical or industrial sales with a global leader?

Toshiba International Corporation (TIC) is seeking a Sales Trainee to join our Motors & Drives Division. This is a hands-on, structured development program designed to turn high-potential early-career talent into future sales professionals.

You’ll spend your first 6 months training at our Houston headquarters, rotating through key departments to gain real-world experience with our products, customers, and sales organization—before launching into a full-time sales role.

What You’ll Do

  • Participate in a structured rotational program across sales, engineering, operations, and customer support
  • Learn Toshiba’s motors, drives, and industrial product applications
  • Support quoting, order management, and customer interactions
  • Work alongside experienced sales professionals and engineers
  • Gain exposure to distributors, customer accounts, and real projects
  • Develop technical knowledge and commercial sales skills
  • Build relationships with cross-functional teams across the business
What You’ll Learn This program provides foundational training in:
  • Electric motors and adjustable speed drives
  • Industrial applications and system solutions
  • Manufacturing operations and product lifecycle
  • Sales processes, customer engagement, and distributor networks
  • Business fundamentals including supply chain and finance
After the Program Upon successful completion, you’ll transition into a Sales Associate / Territory Sales role, supporting TIC’s distribution network and customer base.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Sales, or related field
  • Interest in technical or industrial sales
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn complex products
  • Ability to thrive in a hands-on, team-oriented environment
  • Willingness to relocate to Houston for training (and relocate/travel after placement if needed)
Nice to Have:
  • Sales coursework, internships, or exposure to manufacturing/industrial environments
