Key Responsibilities

  • Medical Coding: Assign precise diagnostic and procedural codes using standard classification systems, such as ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II.

  • Claim Generation & Submission: Prepare, review, and electronically submit clean insurance claims to private payers, Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party administrators.

  • Accounts Receivable & Denials Management: Track unpaid or denied claims, investigate the root causes of rejections, correct errors, and file appeals to maximize revenue collection.

  • Payment Posting & Patient Invoicing: Post insurance and patient payments, reconcile accounts, and generate clear patient statements or answer billing inquiries.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with changing healthcare laws, billing guidelines, and payer-specific policies to ensure full adherence to HIPAA, local, and federal regulations.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems, practice management software, medical billing platforms, and encoder tools.
