Important Applicant Notice — Please Read Before Applying

State Farm agency experience is required for this remote position. Because this is a remote role, we are looking for candidates who already understand State Farm systems, products, sales processes, compliance expectations, and the day-to-day workflow of a State Farm agency.

We also want to be very clear and respectful regarding current agency relationships:

We do not intend to recruit or hire team members who are actively employed by another State Farm agent unless they are already leaving that agency due to mitigating circumstances and their current agent is aware of their planned departure.

We value and respect the State Farm agency community and do not want to create disruption for another agent’s office. If you are currently working for a State Farm agent, please only apply if your situation aligns with the above.

Are you an experienced State Farm sales professional looking for a remote opportunity with strong income potential, career growth, and a high-performing agency team?

My name is Brandon Wine, and I have been a State Farm Agent for over 13 years. Since opening in 2013, our agency has consistently ranked in the top 1% of State Farm agencies nationwide. We are also part of a select group trusted to operate three separate State Farm locations.

My passion is developing people — helping team members grow their careers, improve their financial future, and make a positive impact on their families and the customers we serve.

We are looking for a motivated, competitive, coachable, and experienced Remote Insurance Sales Representative to join our team.

This position is designed for someone who already has State Farm experience and can be productive in a remote environment with strong accountability, communication, and self-management.

Why Join Our Team?

We believe in investing in our people. This role offers strong income potential, continued sales development, career growth, and multiple paths for advancement.

Because this is a remote role, the compensation structure is designed with a lower base salary and higher variable compensation opportunity than a traditional in-office role. This creates significant upside for a proven salesperson who is motivated by results, production, and income growth.

Whether your goal is to become a top-producing sales professional, move into leadership, specialize in financial services, or eventually explore agency ownership, we provide the training, tools, systems, and support to help you get there.

Career Growth OpportunitiesTop Sales Performer Track

If you are driven by results and income growth, this role gives you the opportunity to increase your earnings through commissions, bonuses, and performance recognition. You will receive ongoing coaching and sales development to help you become highly skilled in insurance and financial services sales.

Leadership / Management Track

For team members who demonstrate leadership ability, accountability, and a desire to coach others, there may be opportunities to grow into management. In this path, you may help lead sales representatives, drive team performance, improve sales processes, and take on greater responsibility within the agency.

Financial Services Track

If you are interested in expanding your knowledge beyond property and casualty insurance, we offer a path to grow into financial services. This may include helping customers with life insurance, retirement planning conversations, and other financial products designed to protect their future.

Responsibilities

As a Remote Insurance Sales Representative, you will:

  • Generate new business opportunities through outbound sales activity
  • Work leads efficiently and consistently
  • Schedule appointments with prospective customers
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate insurance and financial products
  • Quote and sell auto, fire, life, health, and financial services products
  • Build strong customer relationships and provide excellent follow-up
  • Meet or exceed sales goals and performance expectations
  • Maintain a high level of daily activity while working remotely
  • Provide timely and thorough activity updates to the agent and leadership team
  • Use agency systems consistently and accurately
  • Maintain strong documentation and compliance standards
  • Participate in coaching, training, sales meetings, and performance reviews
  • Commit to personal growth, professional development, and continuous improvement

What We Offer

  • Remote work opportunity
  • Base salary plus enhanced commission and bonus opportunities
  • $70,000–$80,000+ expected compensation potential
  • Eligible for $1,000 signing bonus
  • Health benefits
  • SIMPLE Retirement Plan with employer match
  • Paid time off, including vacation and personal/sick days
  • Strong commission upside for high performers
  • Ongoing coaching and professional development
  • Career growth and advancement opportunities within the agency
  • Opportunity to work with a top-performing State Farm agency
  • Supportive, competitive, and growth-focused team environment

Requirements

Required

  • Prior State Farm agency experience is required
  • Strong understanding of State Farm products, systems, and agency workflow
  • Property & Casualty license required
  • Life & Health license required or must be able to obtain
  • Proven insurance sales experience
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, competitive, and goal-oriented
  • Able to work independently in a remote environment
  • Coachable with a strong desire to grow
  • Strong follow-up, organization, and time-management skills
  • Comfortable with daily outbound sales activity
  • Enthusiastic about helping people protect what matters most
  • Must have a professional remote work environment
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and follow all compliance expectations

Preferred

  • Experience selling auto, fire, life, health, and financial services products
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Experience with State Farm sales processes, quoting platforms, CRM/activity tracking, and customer follow-up systems
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Remote Work Expectations

This is a remote position, but it is not a flexible “work whenever” role. The right candidate must be dependable, available, highly responsive, and able to maintain consistent daily sales activity.

Remote team members are expected to:

  • Work a consistent schedule
  • Be available during agreed-upon business hours
  • Attend virtual meetings and coaching sessions
  • Maintain strong communication with the agent and team
  • Track activity and results accurately
  • Follow agency sales processes
  • Maintain a professional and distraction-free work environment
  • Meet performance, activity, quality, and compliance expectations

Training and Development

Because State Farm experience is required, this role is intended for someone who already has a working understanding of agency operations. However, our agency will still provide training and coaching around our specific systems, sales expectations, goals, and processes.

Our training and development program includes:

  • Learning our agency’s sales process and performance expectations
  • Reviewing how we market auto, home, life, health, and financial services products
  • Setting and tracking sales and growth goals
  • Working closely with the agent and leadership team
  • Strengthening product knowledge and customer conversation skills
  • Improving closing, follow-up, cross-selling, and referral strategies
  • Building the habits necessary to succeed in a high-performing remote sales environment

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is someone who:

  • Has prior State Farm agency experience
  • Understands what it takes to succeed in a State Farm sales role
  • Is competitive, disciplined, and internally motivated
  • Wants a remote opportunity but still values accountability and coaching
  • Is looking for long-term growth, not just a short-term job
  • Communicates clearly and professionally
  • Takes ownership of results
  • Wants to be part of a high-performing agency team
  • Is motivated by income growth and career advancement

Ready to Grow With Us?

If you are an experienced State Farm sales professional who is motivated to succeed, excited about helping people, and looking for a remote career opportunity with strong income potential, we encourage you to apply.

Please complete the application, and we will follow up with next steps in the interview process.

2. HOW DO YOU USE THE DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION TOOLS IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS?

When you're working on a remote team, there's no way to chat in the hallway between meetings or catch up on the latest project during an office carpool. Therefore, virtual communication will be absolutely essential to get your work done...

5. HOW DO YOU PROCESS INFORMATION?

Several years ago, I was working in a team to plan a big event. My supervisor made us all work as a team before the big day. One of our activities has been to find out how each of us processes information...

6. HOW DO YOU MANAGE THE CALENDAR AND THE PROGRAM? WHICH APPLICATIONS / SYSTEM DO YOU USE?

7. HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE FILES, LINKS, AND TABS ON YOUR COMPUTER?

Just like your schedule, how you track files and other information is very important. After all, everything is digital!...

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?

This is a great question because it shows your comfort level with technology, which is very important for a remote worker because you will be working with technology over time...
