We believe that a variety of backgrounds makes our team stronger and more innovative.<br><br>At Airgas, we RESPECT, HONOR and VALUE diversity.<br><br>Airgas is Hiring for a Production Operator in Hutchinson, KS!<br><br>We are looking for you!<br><br>Comprehensive Family Benefits: Airgas offers a full benefits package designed to support your whole life, including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, and Disability Insurance.<br><br>Support for Parents: We offer a 14-week paid child birth benefit to support growing families.<br><br>Future Security: 401(k) Retirement Plan with company match, Tuition Assistance, Paid Holidays, Vacation, and Sick time.<br><br>Early Access: Your benefits start after just 30 days of employment.<br><br>Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm<br><br>Recruiter: Tammie Stacye/tammie.stacye@airgas.com<br><br>The Production Operator 1 contributes to the safe and efficient operation of production equipment and performs various tasks involved in the manufacturing process of industrial and medical gases.<br><br>Operate and monitor production equipment, including filling stations, compressors, pumps, and other machinery, supporting alignment with safety protocols and operating procedures.<br><br>Perform routine quality control checks on products, including cylinder inspections, pressure verification, and leak detection.<br><br>Load and unload cylinders and other materials using appropriate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.<br><br>Prepare cylinders for filling by visually inspecting, cleaning, and labeling them according to product specifications.<br><br>Complete and maintain accurate production logs, inventory records, and other required documentation.<br><br>Ideally, you bring a strong commitment to all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).<br><br>Participate in daily safety meetings and contribute to a safe working environment.<br><br>Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized work area.<br><br>Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and report major issues to supervisors.<br><br>Collaborate with team members to advance production goals and maintain efficient operations.<br><br>________________________Are you a MATCH?<br><br>Required Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent (GED).<br><br>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks, including bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.<br><br>Basic mathematical skills and ability to read and understand written instructions.<br><br>Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.<br><br>Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.<br><br>Ability to operate a forklift and become certified.<br><br>Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
