Job Description:

  • Drive excellence in B2B strategy, solutions development, and opportunity closure across the Utilities vertical
  • Develop vertical-based solution sales motions for Business Markets within Utilities
  • Drive sales of Fixed Wireless Access, OneTalk, Security, and Strategic Phones
  • Increase market penetration, account retention, and new account acquisition
  • Collaborate with business leaders, marketing, product, and technical sales teams
  • Educate sales organizations on Utilities vertical details
  • Serve as a vertical solution and strategy specialist and project/program solution lead for Business Markets
  • Identify, propose, deploy, and manage the full solution lifecycle from pilot to commercial adoption
  • Drive partner strategy and provide expert guidance on RFI/RFP/RFQ responses
  • Meet with key B2B clients as an industry expert to generate sales opportunities and present industry trends
  • Position Verizon solutions to resolve customer business pains
  • Coordinate account mapping exercises with Sales teams
  • Conduct probing questions, ensure comprehensive documentation, and provide timely follow-up
  • Work primarily from customer or field locations, with occasional visits to Verizon locations for training and meetings

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Six or more years of relevant sales experience required
  • Product and partner management experience
  • Deep knowledge of the Utilities vertical, including business practices and trends, competitive landscape, technology needs, and ecosystem of partners and solution providers
  • Executive presence and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel throughout the United States, up to 50%
