About LeaVate

LeaVate is my personal brand and consulting portfolio, focused on campaign strategy, influencer marketing, campaign management, and content strategy for brands.

I’m transitioning the brand away from being positioned primarily as a UGC creator and toward a more premium growth/strategy partner for brands, so the website needs to communicate strategic thinking, strong results, taste, and credibility — not feel like a generic influencer portfolio or marketing agency.

The project

I’m looking for a highly design-oriented Squarespace designer to redesign my existing website:

I already have a very clear vision for the structure, copy, imagery, and overall aesthetic. I do not need someone to figure out my brand from scratch.

What I need is someone with excellent editorial/art-direction instincts who can translate my references into a polished, premium website.

Design direction

Think:

Clean

Editorial

Minimal

Sophisticated

Premium but not corporate

Strong typography

Generous whitespace

Beautiful image placement

Subtle interactions/animation where appropriate

Very intentional composition

Modern personal brand / creative director aesthetic

The website should feel closer to a fashion/editorial portfolio or premium creative consultancy than a traditional agency website.

Visual references

These are the strongest references for the direction I want:

I particularly like the editorial layouts, typography, whitespace, simplicity, image treatment, and overall sense of restraint in these references.

I am NOT looking for a direct copy of any of these websites. I want someone who can understand the aesthetic and create an original LeaVate site within that design language.

Existing work / additional references

My existing work:

I already have the majority of the written content, imagery, videos, case-study information, and results.

Website structure

The approximate structure is:

1. Homepage / Strategy

A strong landing page introducing LeaVate, my positioning, campaign strategy/management services, selected results, and a clear path into the portfolio.

2. Tech UGC

Selected tech/content work and results.

3. Luxury Travel & Hospitality

Selected hotel, travel, hospitality and luxury work.

4. Results / Case Studies

More detailed campaign results, metrics, examples, and strategic work.

5. About / Contact

Simple personal introduction and contact information if needed.

The exact navigation/layout can be refined together, but I already know the core content and information architecture.

What I need from you

Redesign the existing Squarespace website

Create a custom, editorial-feeling visual system

Implement the design in Squarespace

Improve typography, spacing, hierarchy, image/video treatment and overall layout

Make the site feel cohesive across all pages

Ensure excellent mobile responsiveness

Add subtle animations/interactions where they genuinely improve the experience

Make the portfolio/case studies visually compelling and easy to navigate

Ensure the final site feels premium and intentional rather than template-based

What I DON'T need

Please don't quote me for services I don't need.

I already have:

Copy

Brand direction

Photography/images

Video/content

Portfolio material

Case-study information

Website structure

Design references

I do NOT need:

Ecommerce

Scheduling/booking functionality

Complex custom development

Copywriting

Full brand identity development

Logo design

Extensive SEO strategy

Ongoing marketing

A complicated CMS

This is primarily a design + Squarespace implementation project.

Budget

My budget is approximately $1,000–$1,500 USD fixed, depending on experience and the quality of your portfolio.

I am willing to prioritize the right designer if there is a strong reason for a slightly higher quote, but I am specifically looking for an independent designer rather than a $4K+ agency engagement.

Timeline

Ideally completed by October 10, 2026, but I'm flexible for the right person.

Who I'm looking for

This is the most important part.

I am NOT looking for someone who primarily creates:

Generic business websites

Template-heavy Squarespace sites

Traditional corporate websites

Basic influencer portfolios

I am looking for someone who has a strong visual eye.

You would be a particularly good fit if your portfolio includes work for:

Personal brands

Consultants

Creative directors

Fashion/lifestyle brands

Luxury brands

Hospitality

Creative agencies

Editorial publications

High-end service businesses

Common Interview Questions And Answers

1. HOW DO YOU PLAN YOUR DAY?

This is what this question poses: When do you focus and start working seriously? What are the hours you work optimally? Are you a night owl? A morning bird? Remote teams can be made up of people working on different shifts and around the world, so you won't necessarily be stuck in the 9-5 schedule if it's not for you...

2. HOW DO YOU USE THE DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION TOOLS IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS?

When you're working on a remote team, there's no way to chat in the hallway between meetings or catch up on the latest project during an office carpool. Therefore, virtual communication will be absolutely essential to get your work done...

3. WHAT IS "WORKING REMOTE" REALLY FOR YOU?

Many people want to work remotely because of the flexibility it allows. You can work anywhere and at any time of the day...

4. WHAT DO YOU NEED IN YOUR PHYSICAL WORKSPACE TO SUCCEED IN YOUR WORK?

With this question, companies are looking to see what equipment they may need to provide you with and to verify how aware you are of what remote working could mean for you physically and logistically...

5. HOW DO YOU PROCESS INFORMATION?

Several years ago, I was working in a team to plan a big event. My supervisor made us all work as a team before the big day. One of our activities has been to find out how each of us processes information...

6. HOW DO YOU MANAGE THE CALENDAR AND THE PROGRAM? WHICH APPLICATIONS / SYSTEM DO YOU USE?

Or you may receive even more specific questions, such as: What's on your calendar? Do you plan blocks of time to do certain types of work? Do you have an open calendar that everyone can see?...

7. HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE FILES, LINKS, AND TABS ON YOUR COMPUTER?

Just like your schedule, how you track files and other information is very important. After all, everything is digital!...

8. HOW TO PRIORITIZE WORK?

The day I watched Marie Forleo's film separating the important from the urgent, my life changed. Not all remote jobs start fast, but most of them are...

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?

This is a great question because it shows your comfort level with technology, which is very important for a remote worker because you will be working with technology over time...
