<p>Summary: Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities.</p><p><strong>Duties</strong></p><p>Functions as a Warehouse Worker Foreman, responsible for work on a rotational basis, that includes the warehouse, commissary and clothing issue/laundry operations at a Federal Bureau of Prisons' facility. Supervises inmate workers who are responsible for receiving, storing, shipment, and issue of a wide variety of supplies, materials, equipment and commodities required in the operation of the facility, as well as, the issuance of inmate clothing and laundering of items for inmates and institutional operations such as Health Services or Food Service. Responsible for the inventory control of materials for the institution which consists of receipt, cataloging, stocking, and issuing of all incoming materials from outside sources. Maintains adequate shipping and receiving documents and inventory documentation, using both manual procedures and automated data processing systems, so as to maintain a system of perpetual inventory accountability for all items that pass through or remain under incumbent's control. Responsible for the maintenance of inventory documentation, using both manual and automated systems to maintain a system of perpetual inventory accountability. Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff's correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.</p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Career Transition Programs (CTAP or ICTAP): These programs apply to Federal and/or DOJ employees who meet the definition of surplus or displaced from a position in the competitive service.
