Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Loader/Unloader to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading shipments, ensuring the safe handling of materials, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Your energetic approach and commitment to safety will help keep our warehouse operations running smoothly and effectively. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in warehouse distribution, heavy equipment operation, and materials handling within a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Safely load and unload shipments using appropriate equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and cranes
  • Conduct manual handling of materials, ensuring proper lifting techniques to prevent injury
  • Operate material handling equipment including RF scanners, order pickers, and heavy machinery in accordance with safety protocols
  • Assist with order picking and packing to prepare items for shipping or storage
  • Maintain accurate inventory management by recording all movements using RF scanners and inventory systems
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and safety procedures during all warehouse activities
  • Support shipping & receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing goods against documentation
  • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse operations and improve workflow efficiency

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in warehouse distribution, shipping & receiving, or materials handling is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks; certification is a plus
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations including inventory management and order picking processes
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and adherence to safety protocol guidelines
  • Basic math skills for inventory counting and measurements
  • Experience with RF scanners or similar technology used for order picking and inventory control
  • Warehouse supervisor experience or additional warehouse experience is advantageous but not required
