We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Systems Administrator with deep expertise in Okta to lead our identity and access management strategy and strengthen our IT infrastructure. In this role, you’ll own IT operations, design scalable processes, and ensure compliance readiness. You’ll partner with leadership, Security, and People Ops to deliver seamless onboarding/offboarding, protect company assets, and support our growing workforce. What You’ll Do Act as the primary administrator and subject matter expert for Okta, including SSO, MFA, SCIM, and user lifecycle management. Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of a ticketing-based onboarding/offboarding system to ensure consistent access provisioning, deprovisioning, and compliance tracking. Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and audit documentation to ensure SOC 2 and other regulatory compliance. Integrate Okta with cloud/SaaS applications (e.g., Google Workspace, Slack, HRIS, Zoom). Oversee access reviews, system audits, and security monitoring. Drive IT projects related to automation, infrastructure upgrades, and new technology rollouts. Serve as an escalation point for complex IT issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior IT staff (as the team scales). Collaborate with Security and People Ops to improve lifecycle management and data protection practices. What You’ll Bring 5–10 years of progressive IT systems administration or related experience. Expertise with Okta (or similar IAM platforms); Okta certification strongly preferred. Proven experience designing and maintaining IT ticketing systems (Jira, FreshDesk, Zendesk, or similar). Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA). Hands-on experience with SaaS integrations, Rippling MDM, and endpoint management. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across hardware, software, and networking. Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualifications Scripting and automation experience (PowerShell, Python, or similar). Experience in fast-paced, high-growth, or startup environments. Familiarity with networking fundamentals (VPN, DNS, firewalls). Ability to balance strategic projects with day-to-day IT operations. Required qualifications:
