Exceptional Webflow Designer Needed to Help Us Tell a Story That Matters

Other Jobs To Apply

No other job posts for this day.

Help us build a website that can change the way the next generation discovers its future.

We have built CareerPathway.com, a platform designed to help the next generation of talent explore careers, understand what's possible, discover education and training opportunities, and ultimately connect with the businesses and colleges that can help move them forward in life.

The platform is built.

The mission is clear.

Now we need our website to tell that story exceptionally well.

Our existing Webflow website is a decent start, but it isn't yet communicating the size of the vision, the value of the platform, or creating the level of conversion we believe is possible.

We're looking for an exceptional Webflow designer who can help us change that.

This isn't just a Webflow development project.

We aren't looking for someone who simply takes a Figma file and builds it in Webflow.

We want someone who can look at our platform, understand our audiences, challenge our assumptions, simplify our message, improve the user journey, and turn our vision into a compelling digital experience.

Our website needs to quickly answer:

What is CareerPathway.com?

Why should I care?

What's in it for me?

Why should I participate?

What should I do next?

And it needs to answer those questions for two very different primary audiences:

Individuals ages 13–25+ who are exploring careers, education, internships, apprenticeships, scholarships, jobs and other opportunities.

Businesses and colleges that need to attract talent, tell their story, showcase opportunities and build relationships with their future workforce or students.

Our goal is to make CareerPathway.com feel less like another website someone could join and more like an ecosystem they don't want to be left out of.

What We Need You to Help Us Do

We want to transform CareerPathway.com into a highly polished, modern, conversion-focused website that:

- Tells a compelling story rather than simply listing features

Immediately communicates the problem CareerPathway.com solves

- Creates clear journeys for our different audiences

- Makes a complex platform feel incredibly simple

- Builds trust and credibility quickly

- Shows the product instead of just talking about it

- Uses strong UX/UI principles and visual storytelling

- Is exceptional on mobile

- Improves SEO fundamentals

- Is structured with GEO/AI discovery in mind

- Creates clear, intentional conversion paths

- Significantly increases profile creation and activation

- Can continue evolving as CareerPathway.com grows nationally

Our primary conversion isn't a brochure download or a contact form. We want people to create a profile and enter the CareerPathway.com ecosystem.

Everything should ultimately support that objective.

The Challenge

CareerPathway.com sits at the intersection of:

Talent + Business + Education + Workforce Development

Students need direction.

Individuals need opportunity.

Businesses need talent.

Colleges need students.

Educators need better tools and current industry information.

Communities need to retain and attract workforce.

Yet these groups often operate in disconnected systems.

CareerPathway.com brings them together.

The challenge is communicating something this large without making the website complicated.

That's where we need you.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is exceptional at Webflow, but your thinking matters just as much as your technical ability.

You should be strong in:

- Webflow development

- UX/UI design

- Conversion rate optimization

- Responsive/mobile design

- Visual storytelling

- Information architecture

- Landing page strategy

- Interaction and animation

- CMS architecture

- SEO fundamentals

- Analytics-driven iteration

Experience with marketplaces, SaaS, education, recruiting, workforce technology, consumer platforms or two-sided platforms would be especially valuable.

We also want someone comfortable saying:

“I understand what you're trying to accomplish, but I think there's a better way to do this.”

We're hiring you for your expertise, not simply your ability to follow instructions.

What Success Looks Like

We don't want to measure this project by whether the new website looks better.

It absolutely should. But that's not enough.

We want to measure:

- Visitor → Profile Creation

- Landing Page → Signup

- Business Visitor → Business Profile

- Opportunity Seeker → Individual Profile

- Engagement → Conversion

We already use analytics and behavioral tools, and we want someone interested in learning from the data and continuing to improve the experience rather than treating launch day as the finish line.

Why This Project Is Different

There are plenty of websites selling another piece of software.

That's not what we're building.

A 16-year-old may discover a career on CareerPathway.com that they didn't know existed.

That discovery could change the classes they take.

The education they pursue.

The skills they develop.

The company they eventually work for.

And ultimately, the direction of their life.

At the same time, a small business struggling to find its future workforce can introduce that same student to a career they otherwise may never have considered.

One connection can change both of their futures.

We want a website capable of telling that story.

How to Apply

We're less interested in a long generic proposal and more interested in seeing how you think.

Please send us:

Three Webflow websites you've personally designed and/or built that best demonstrate your abilities. Tell us exactly what you were responsible for on each.

One website you believe is exceptional at storytelling and conversion, even if you didn't build it. Tell us why.

Visit CareerPathway.com and spend a few minutes looking around. Tell us one thing you would change first and why.

Tell us about a project where your work resulted in a measurable improvement in conversion, engagement or another business outcome.

Start your response with the words “One Connection” so we know you actually read this posting.

Please don't send us a generic agency proposal.

We're looking for someone who sees what CareerPathway.com could become and wants to help us build it.

If you're an exceptional designer who thinks strategically, understands conversion, loves Webflow, and wants to work on something with the potential to genuinely impact people's futures, we'd love to hear from you.

Common Interview Questions And Answers

1. HOW DO YOU PLAN YOUR DAY?

This is what this question poses: When do you focus and start working seriously? What are the hours you work optimally? Are you a night owl? A morning bird? Remote teams can be made up of people working on different shifts and around the world, so you won't necessarily be stuck in the 9-5 schedule if it's not for you...

2. HOW DO YOU USE THE DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION TOOLS IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS?

When you're working on a remote team, there's no way to chat in the hallway between meetings or catch up on the latest project during an office carpool. Therefore, virtual communication will be absolutely essential to get your work done...

3. WHAT IS "WORKING REMOTE" REALLY FOR YOU?

Many people want to work remotely because of the flexibility it allows. You can work anywhere and at any time of the day...

4. WHAT DO YOU NEED IN YOUR PHYSICAL WORKSPACE TO SUCCEED IN YOUR WORK?

With this question, companies are looking to see what equipment they may need to provide you with and to verify how aware you are of what remote working could mean for you physically and logistically...

5. HOW DO YOU PROCESS INFORMATION?

Several years ago, I was working in a team to plan a big event. My supervisor made us all work as a team before the big day. One of our activities has been to find out how each of us processes information...

6. HOW DO YOU MANAGE THE CALENDAR AND THE PROGRAM? WHICH APPLICATIONS / SYSTEM DO YOU USE?

Or you may receive even more specific questions, such as: What's on your calendar? Do you plan blocks of time to do certain types of work? Do you have an open calendar that everyone can see?...

7. HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE FILES, LINKS, AND TABS ON YOUR COMPUTER?

Just like your schedule, how you track files and other information is very important. After all, everything is digital!...

8. HOW TO PRIORITIZE WORK?

The day I watched Marie Forleo's film separating the important from the urgent, my life changed. Not all remote jobs start fast, but most of them are...

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?

This is a great question because it shows your comfort level with technology, which is very important for a remote worker because you will be working with technology over time...
