About the position

As a District Retail Manager, you will partner directly with powersports dealerships across South Texas to strengthen dealer performance, enhance the customer experience, and drive profitable retail growth for both Polaris and its dealer network. You will serve as a trusted business advisor, helping dealers optimize sales, merchandising, inventory management, customer engagement, and operational effectiveness. In this field-based role, you will collaborate with dealers and internal stakeholders to increase market share, improve dealer profitability, and support Polaris brand standards. You will also identify opportunities to strengthen the dealer network through market development and dealer upgrades. This role offers the opportunity to influence business performance across a large territory and directly impact dealer success and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with dealerships to strengthen relationships, expand influence, improve retail performance, and enhance dealer profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and execute strategies that drive retail sales growth, increase market share, and support achievement of district and corporate sales objectives.
  • Assess dealership performance and identify opportunities to improve operations, customer experience, profitability, and overall business effectiveness.
  • Establish and support appropriate wholegood and PG&A inventory stocking profiles based on market demand, seasonal trends, and business objectives.
  • Lead dealership showroom merchandising, accessorizing, and point-of-purchase strategies that improve customer engagement and retail outcomes.
  • Deliver training on product knowledge, sales processes, certification programs, and best practices to improve dealership capabilities and performance.
  • Support traffic generation, lead conversion, and retail planning initiatives through both traditional and digital retail strategies.
  • Collaborate with dealers and internal stakeholders to implement branding standards, merchandising plans, and inventory strategies that align with Polaris objectives.
  • Leverage third-party partnerships and available resources to improve dealer profitability and enhance the consumer experience across in-store and digital channels.
  • Identify competitive market shifts, communicate field insights, and recommend actions that support dealer success and Polaris business goals.
  • Resolve dealer and customer-related issues through collaborative problem-solving and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prospect and evaluate opportunities to strengthen the dealer network through open market development and dealer upgrades where needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of field sales, retail sales, dealership, sales administration, distribution, customer service, or related experience.
  • Knowledge of distribution network strategies and retail business operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage profitability and productivity data to support business decisions and dealer recommendations.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work successfully with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business software systems.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to work hands-on with dealerships and products as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% within the assigned territory, including customer visits, meetings, events, and occasional travel to remote or corporate locations.
