<p><strong>DIRECTOR OF LOGISTICS</strong></p><p>Remote (US) | $135,000-$150,000 plus performance bonus</p><p><br></p><p>A national mobile health screening company is hiring a Director of Logistics to own its national field schedule and build the analytical foundation underneath it.</p><p><br></p><p>The field schedule is the operating engine of the business. Every service delivered, every dollar of venue cost incurred, and every field clinician's experience of working here flows from it. This role owns it.</p><p><br></p><p>THE ROLE</p><p><br></p><p>You are not starting from a blank page. A full national schedule already runs: events six days a week, published 90 days in advance, across 46+ states, supporting a distributed team of 45+ field clinicians. It works. What it does not yet have is a real data layer underneath it, the instrumentation that shows which routes are efficient, which locations are decaying, where the team is returning too often, and what the next 90 days should look like based on evidence rather than precedent.</p><p><br></p><p>Your mandate is to build that layer and then use it. Define the metrics, build the models and reporting that make schedule quality measurable, and iterate the schedule continuously against them.</p><p><br></p><p>Alongside the analysis, you own the schedule day to day. Through a team of two, you keep it running: covering PTO and callouts, holding the venue team to its bookings, and pulling events that are not producing before they cost money. The analytical work and the operational work are the same job. You cannot design a better schedule if you are not living inside the current one.</p><p><br></p><p>WHAT YOU'LL OWN</p><p><br></p><p>The national field schedule for 45+ field clinicians across 46+ states, published 90 days in advance</p><p>The data layer beneath the schedule: event-level performance, route economics, territory coverage, and travel load</p><p>KPI definition and reporting, including volume per event, cost per unit, venue cost, fill and no-show rates, and marketing spend efficiency by market</p><p>Route design and iteration: sequencing, drive time, event density, and revenue per event</p><p>Continuous improvement: identifying decaying locations, oversaturated markets, and underserved territories, and acting before it shows up in the P&L</p><p>New territory integration as clinicians are hired into new markets</p><p>Day-to-day schedule management through a team of two, absorbing PTO, callouts, and unplanned changes without breaking the published schedule</p><p>Venue team accountability, ensuring every location the schedule calls for is booked on time</p><p>Event pull decisions, removing underperforming events inside a 48-hour window to avoid venue charges, with an alternate venue identified in their place</p><p>Cross-functional partnership with clinical operations on capacity and travel load, and with marketing on demand by market</p><p><br></p><p>HOW THE FIELD SCHEDULE WORKS</p><p><br></p><p>Each field clinician owns a mobile territory and runs an event nearly every day, a different location each day, 3 to 6 days a week. Setup begins at 7:30am, first appointment at 8:30am, last at 4:10pm, packed up by 5:30pm. Most work a six-week rotating schedule with one travel week built in, though this varies across the team.</p><p><br></p><p>Schedules publish 90 days out. That predictability is one of the most important promises made to the clinical team: no nights, no weekends, no holidays, no call, no surprises. Protecting it while continuously improving the underlying routes is the central tension of this role.</p><p><br></p><p>Behind every event is a venue, either a partner business hosting an event day or a booked hotel or community space. The venue team books what the schedule calls for. When a location is not producing, there is a narrow window to pull it before it is billed.</p><p><br></p><p>REQUIRED</p><p><br></p><p>5+ years in field operations, logistics, route planning, workforce scheduling, demand planning, or another analytics-heavy operations role</p><p>Strong quantitative capability. You model in Excel or Sheets at a serious level and reach for SQL, Python, R, or a BI tool when the data outgrows a spreadsheet</p><p>Experience building the data and reporting layer underneath an operation, not just consuming dashboards someone else built</p><p>Demonstrated ownership of a scheduling, routing, or capacity system in a multi-site or distributed environment. You have made the calls, not just produced the reports</p><p>Comfort making fast operational decisions with incomplete information, including decisions that disappoint people</p><p>Willingness to do the unglamorous operational follow-through alongside the analytical work</p><p><br></p><p>STRONGLY PREFERRED</p><p><br></p><p>Background in information technology, systems analysis, data management, business intelligence, or data warehousing</p><p>Experience leading a small team, or clear readiness for first-time people management with support</p><p>Route optimization tools, workforce management platforms, or scheduling software</p><p>Multi-site field operations: mobile healthcare, home or field services, events, or logistics</p><p>Accountability to unit economics or a P&L line</p><p>Exposure to healthcare operations or a distributed clinical workforce</p><p><br></p><p>WHO THRIVES HERE</p><p><br></p><p>This role is built for someone genuinely analytical who refuses to stay behind the data. You will spend part of your week modeling routes and part of it making sure a venue actually got booked in Tulsa. If either half sounds beneath you, this is not the right seat.</p><p><br></p><p>The best person for this job is probably doing a version of it right now inside a much larger company, a narrower slice of it, with someone above them making the final call. Here you make the call and see the result within the quarter.</p>

Common Interview Questions And Answers

1. HOW DO YOU PLAN YOUR DAY?

This is what this question poses: When do you focus and start working seriously? What are the hours you work optimally? Are you a night owl? A morning bird? Remote teams can be made up of people working on different shifts and around the world, so you won't necessarily be stuck in the 9-5 schedule if it's not for you...

2. HOW DO YOU USE THE DIFFERENT COMMUNICATION TOOLS IN DIFFERENT SITUATIONS?

When you're working on a remote team, there's no way to chat in the hallway between meetings or catch up on the latest project during an office carpool. Therefore, virtual communication will be absolutely essential to get your work done...

3. WHAT IS "WORKING REMOTE" REALLY FOR YOU?

Many people want to work remotely because of the flexibility it allows. You can work anywhere and at any time of the day...

4. WHAT DO YOU NEED IN YOUR PHYSICAL WORKSPACE TO SUCCEED IN YOUR WORK?

With this question, companies are looking to see what equipment they may need to provide you with and to verify how aware you are of what remote working could mean for you physically and logistically...

5. HOW DO YOU PROCESS INFORMATION?

Several years ago, I was working in a team to plan a big event. My supervisor made us all work as a team before the big day. One of our activities has been to find out how each of us processes information...

6. HOW DO YOU MANAGE THE CALENDAR AND THE PROGRAM? WHICH APPLICATIONS / SYSTEM DO YOU USE?

Or you may receive even more specific questions, such as: What's on your calendar? Do you plan blocks of time to do certain types of work? Do you have an open calendar that everyone can see?...

7. HOW DO YOU ORGANIZE FILES, LINKS, AND TABS ON YOUR COMPUTER?

Just like your schedule, how you track files and other information is very important. After all, everything is digital!...

8. HOW TO PRIORITIZE WORK?

The day I watched Marie Forleo's film separating the important from the urgent, my life changed. Not all remote jobs start fast, but most of them are...

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?

This is a great question because it shows your comfort level with technology, which is very important for a remote worker because you will be working with technology over time...
