Axonius, Inc. (Remote, reporting to headquarters in New York, NY) is seeking a DevOps Tech Lead. This role involves defining and creating complex technological solutions to address issues raised by the entire company in order to enhance Axonius' proprietary platform.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong>Specifically, the DevOps Tech Lead is responsible for designing and implementing Axonius' complex and unique tools and solutions in the following areas:<br><br><ul><li>Leads the design of the company’s cloud infrastructure architecture, from the organizational account structure to the deployment of individual workloads. Defines where and how services run, and how they integrate with dependent systems across the platform. Establishes scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure patterns;</li><li>Leads the design and configuration of the networking architecture supporting distributed services across the Axonius platform. Defines scalable and secure network topologies and connectivity patterns within AWS environments. Architects the use and integration of services such as Application Load Balancers, Network Load Balancers, NAT and Internet Gateways, and VPC and S3 endpoints.</li><li>Leads the design and development of the company’s Infrastructure as Code frameworks, enabling consistent and automated infrastructure provisioning across environments. Architects scalable deployment patterns using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation. Establishes standards and reusable modules to ensure reliability, maintainability, and governance of cloud infrastructure;</li><li>Designs and maintains CI automation for continuous integration and delivery, enabling software development, testing, and deployment;</li><li>Leads the design and governance of the company’s end-to-end Configuration Management architecture, ensuring scalable, reliable, and auditable system configurations across all environments. Defines standards & automation strategies to maintain consistency and operational excellence, mainly utilizing Ansible;</li><li>Architects and governs the company’s local and staging development environments, delivering a scalable, consistent developer experience across diverse hardware and operating systems. Designs flexible, multi-purpose solutions and rollout strategies to support 200+ internal users. Establishes standards, automation, and tooling to streamline setup, testing, and environment parity;</li><li>Leads the design of the company’s end-to-end monitoring architecture, defining how the full monitoring stack is built, deployed, and operated. Establishes standards for metrics, logs, and telemetry collection to ensure comprehensive visibility across systems and services. Designs scalable solutions that enable reliable observability and actionable insights. Ensures the monitoring platform effectively serves internal teams and drives operational excellence;</li><li>Leads the evaluation and introduction of new DevOps tools across the organization, ensuring the platform stack remains modern, efficient, and aligned with engineering needs. Conducts research, proof-of-concepts, and technical assessments to identify solutions that deliver the greatest operational impact. Drives adoption of tools across domains such as cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, configuration management, AWS automation, and monitoring.<br><br></li></ul>The Position Requires At Least 9 Years Of Experience As a DevOps Or VoIP Engineer, Which Also Includes Experience With The Following<br><br><ul><li>9 years of experience:</li><ul><li>Managing and maintaining Linux-based servers, which includes any experience with tools such as SaltStack, Kubernetes, or writing in Bash;</li></ul><li>5 years of experience:</li><ul><li>Managing and maintaining Linux-based Web-Servers, such as Apache, Nginx, or Envoy;</li><li>Working with Configuration management tools at a production level, which includes any experience with Ansible or SaltStack;</li><li>Working with open source caching solutions tools such as Memcache;</li><li>Working with open source DNS tools such as bind9;</li></ul><li>3 years of experience:</li><ul><li>Building and maintaining complex AWS architectures, which includes experience with AWS EKS;</li><li>Writing and using Helm charts;</li><li>Building and creating CI/CD tools and pipelines, such as Jenkins; and</li><li>Managing cloud infrastructure via Terraform.<br></li></ul></ul>Axonius is committed to fair and equitable compensation packages. A candidate’s salary will be based on qualifications and relevant experience.
