JOB DESCRIPTIONAbout the role

Monkedia is a fast-growing digital marketing agency, and we're looking for an AI Video & Creative Designer who can produce scroll-stopping video ads for ecommerce brands, fast. This is a video-first role. You'll generate and edit short-form video, layer in motion graphics, and cut everything into compelling ecommerce ads built to perform on paid social.

You should already be living in modern AI creative tools, generating synthetic video, knowing which model to reach for, and turning raw outputs into polished, on-brand ads. Strong graphic, motion, and web/landing-page skills are a real plus and round out the role, but video is the priority.

What you'll do

  • Edit and produce short-form video ads for ecommerce (feed, stories, reels), the core of the role.
  • Generate synthetic / AI video, then cut, sequence, and assemble it into compelling ecommerce ads.
  • Add motion graphics, text animation, captions, transitions, and effects that lift performance.
  • Manipulate and clean audio so it stays natural, voiceover, pacing, sync, and sound design (ElevenLabs or similar is a big plus).
  • Choose the right AI model and tool for each job and iterate quickly across multiple brands.
  • Produce supporting static ad creative and variations (social, display, email) when needed.
  • Design landing pages and web mockups in Figma to support campaigns (secondary).
  • Work to brief, stay on-brand, and manage tasks in our project-management tools.

Qualifications

Must-have

  • ~2+ years producing video or creative for paid social or ecommerce (agency or freelance is fine).
  • A portfolio with ecommerce video ads. We want to see DTC / ecommerce work specifically.
  • Strong video editing (Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci, CapCut, or similar).
  • Hands-on with AI video generation (Runway, Sora, Kling, Veo, Pika, etc.) and image models, with a real point of view on which model fits which job.
  • Solid motion-graphics fundamentals, plus strong layout, typography, and visual hierarchy.
  • Organized, responsive, fast, and able to manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Available during U.S. working hours (EST/CST overlap preferred).

Nice-to-have (strong pluses)

  • Natural-sounding AI audio: voice generation/cloning and sound design that doesn't sound synthetic (ElevenLabs or similar). This one stands out.
  • Graphic design depth in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Landing-page / web design, and familiarity with Shopify, WordPress, or similar.
  • Exposure to AI ad-production platforms (e.g. SuperScale) and creative-analytics tools.
  • Comfort building brand styles, layouts, and visual systems from a brief.

Why this role

  • Build cutting-edge AI video and creative for a range of ecommerce brands.
  • Fast-paced, hands-on, with real ownership of the creative output.
  • Work at the front edge of AI-driven ad production, not on the sidelines of it.

6. HOW DO YOU MANAGE THE CALENDAR AND THE PROGRAM? WHICH APPLICATIONS / SYSTEM DO YOU USE?

9. HOW DO YOU PREPARE FOR A MEETING AND PREPARE A MEETING? WHAT DO YOU SEE HAPPENING DURING THE MEETING?

Just as communication is essential when working remotely, so is organization. Because you won't have those opportunities in the elevator or a casual conversation in the lunchroom, you should take advantage of the little time you have in a video or phone conference...

10. HOW DO YOU USE TECHNOLOGY ON A DAILY BASIS, IN YOUR WORK AND FOR YOUR PLEASURE?
