Key Responsibilities:
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor while interacting with customers, guests, and staff.
  • Maintain a visible and professional presence to deter illegal activities and ensure the safety of personnel, visitors, and property.
  • Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms.
  • Must possess strong customer service and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to professionally de-escalate situations involving upset customers or individuals who are being asked to leave the premises.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
  • Accurately document and report incidents, activities, and observations using company-approved forms and protocols.
  • Inspect the premises for security risks, hazards, or violations and report findings to the appropriate personnel.
  • Comply with all state regulations, including maintaining current armed security licensure in Illinois.
Physical Requirements:


  • Must be able to stand and remain attentive for extended periods of time.
  • Must be capable of conducting routine foot patrols throughout the property, including outdoor parking lot areas, in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be capable of functioning independently and remaining calm in high-pressure or intense situations.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid private security license.
  • Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments while demonstrating professionalism and sound judgment.
  • Must pass a background check and drug test screening.
    1. Must own own firearm.
    2. Must have Level 3 Vest.
    3. Must have a security duty belt.
    4. Seeking candidates with a background in law enforcement, military service, or a minimum two-year degree in criminal justice.
    5. Must possess a valid Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) and Firearm Control Card (FCC), or be eligible to obtain them.
    6. Prior to security, law enforcement, military, two-year degree in Criminal Justine.
